5 Wardrobe Must Haves for College This Winter

Each college year we see trends walk in and out of fashion, filling every classroom with to die for out outfits and accessories. And as we start this new academic year, we each are waiting to see what fashion staples will take the spotlight and which will shine the brightest.
Last year we saw the uprise of body warmers come into play, no matter the colour or style people were dying to get one for themselves. We also were witness to seamless leggings taking the stage, and to make it better the Nike crew socks which layered over the leggings. Sporty enough to look like your off to the gym, but casual enough to wear any day, anywhere.

Another classic which took back the limelight they once lost, is Juicy Couture. In 2021 they released a new collection mirroring there original, classic tracksuits and people went mad for them. Who can blame them really? The tracksuits reflected earlier years of the Noughties Era, smaller the skirts, lower the waists, and bigger the earrings. It truly was a year fashion will never forget.
But the streets are getting colder, and nights are getting darker which only means one thing… layers (my favourite thing eek!). But what are we going to layer with, I hear you ask, and not to worry I’ll get there soon, but first, my predictions for footwear this year. I really think
Uggs, in any style, is going to become extremely popular this winter, last year we saw more and more people begin to take these the streets and I think they will only continue to grow in popularity.

Army style boots also are a growing style through winter and summer. They were a festival must have throughout summer season, and they are also a staple to so many winter outfits. Whether worn with tights and a dress or jeans tucked into them. Chunky boots are a go to.
Working our way up, wide leg tracksuit bottoms I predict are also going to be seen a lot more this year. Gone are the days of skinny anything, wide leg brings comfort, warmth, and style- what more could you want?
Fur anything! Fur coats fell out of fashion within the last decade, from once being everywhere to now being almost nowhere. However popular fashion brands such as H&M and Urban Outfitters are displaying more and more fur coats, jackets, and fleeces. And whilst were on the note, fleeces are not only convenient and comfy, but they also work well with any type of bottoms. For example, jeans/ joggers/ leggings.
And last, but definitely not least, colour co-ordination. During the 90s and early 2000’s it wasn’t very heard of to make sure colours intentionally match within your outfit. It was a wild, careless era, which was slowly lost as the years went on. Last year winter was painted in neutral colours, such as beige, grey, white, and black. However, I think this year colours will be painted across high streets and runways. Wethe it being one main colour accompanied by neutral pieces, or absolute opposites which just work. An example of this is Megan Markle rocking a bright purple knee length dress layered with a ruby red jacket and heels. They do say opposites attract.

All that’s left now is to wait and see what the future of fashion holds, but I’m sure no-matter what its going to be fabulous.
