We have seen many famous people go off the rails after fame, but why? Being famous from a movie or TV show may be hard for some of these people, even singers. An escape from reality hits some of these young celebrities but sometimes they take it to an extreme, some addicted to drugs, alcohol, and many other things, today we will take an insight into some of these celebrity story’s.

The 35-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan has had a rocky time with her addiction to drugs. In January 2007 entered a drug rehab programme for the first time whilst carrying on with her movie “I know who killed me”, being in rehab and carrying on in a movie? This must be very stressful for someone so young. By August 2007 Lindsay had been in rehab 3 times, being in rehab 3 times in the space of 7 months? Something terrible must have been going off. She had struggled with drinking and drugs for a while but maybe there I more to this than we think, Lohan said that drugs had scared her because of her dad but why would she do it herself? In 2013 Lindsay had a horrifying interview with David Letterman, whilst on there to talk about the horror comedy ‘scary movie 5’ she was instead asked questions about her addiction that she had not agreed to. David asking uncomfortable questions the young female looked scared and upset as this is something she didn’t agree talking about and by the look on her face its something she wanted to forget.

In 2018 young American singer Demi Lovato had an overdose and was 10 minutes away from death, Demi had struggled with depression, history of sexual abuse, negative self-image, and disordered eating. Whilst us fans only see smiles and all the positives of her life nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors, scared to ask for help or advice drugs and alcohol was Demi’s only way of help, or so what she thought, she said using drugs was her only was of a coping mechanism. In her documentary “dancing with the devil” she said she often compared herself to other women saying she wasn’t thin enough although drugs almost killed her, she also said it saved her at times while she said suicidal intentions, she exposed herself to heroin, opioid drugs, and fentanyl. Since her struggle and overdose, she has learnt to love herself and to do things that contribute to her health and happiness, even though she still has dark moments time to time she has come a long way spiritually and emotionally.

Us as fans only see either the good side of the celebrities or we see the bad sides we never see the in between such as the reasons for all of this. Celebrities get judged by what is shown on camera and whenever they explain themselves, they still get judged, everyone struggles with mental health issues but maybe for people with fame it is harper because they have harder things to deal with and cant balance it and so they become worse. Going rogue may be the only cry for help for these people with fame. Maybe being famous isn’t as good as it seems.
