With college having just started, one thing that might be at the front of your mind will be food.

Finding affordable meals whilst at college can sometimes be a bit tricky, so here are the best places to go to get food whilst also saving some money.

Lidl Bakery

One place that is renowned for having cheap food is Lidl, and their bakery is no exception. As well as selling some of the best sweet treats you can find, the also offer w options as well such as pizza, cheese twists and croissants that will set you back no more than £2 each, with some costing as little as 99p.

Greggs

Who doesn’t love Greggs? Not only does it have three stores to choose fron, making it quicker to reach one, depending on which building you’re in, but it also has a cheaper menu than most other fast food places in town. Whilst the pasties, pizzas and chicken are delicious, they’re not the healthiest to be eating every day of the week, so it’s a good job that they also sell salads and sandwiches aswell to keep your diet balanced. Plus if you have their app you can earn free items and special deals!

College

This one might be a bit obvious but Barnsley College’s cafeterias sell some surprisingly decent meals that won’t cost you the earth. They do amazing neal deals that let you get a main, side and a drink for less than £5. Plus it’s not like you have to go very far either, leaving more time to sit and wind down between classes.
