As spice girls would say ‘if you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends’-but I think if that was to happen in today’s world, there would be more cat fights then there actually would be cats. Girl laws are growing and getting much stricter, so as we look into the ins and outs of this bilingual code, let’s have a look if you are a loyal girlfriend. In simple terms:-Don’t hate on girls you don’t know-Be honest when your girlfriend asks how they look-Rescue any girl you see when they look like they’re in trouble with a creep-Ex’s, siblings and close friends are off limits unless you get permission-Don’t share secrets-Don’t let a guy in between you and your friend seems pretty easy to follow, right?

These rules may differ between each friendship group but if you stick to them life may be an easy road to go down.

Don’t be that girl who talks bad about another girl,

Don’t be that girl who does nothing when you see another sister in danger,

Don’t be that girl who does something to a friend that you wouldn’t want done to you

Don’t be that girl who doesn’t believe in ‘sisters before misters’

. These rules have the ability to destroy friendships, relationships and even your own integrity, but there comes to a point where the handbook is taken to an extreme. Have you ever had a friend who only uses the rules when it suits them? Silly question, we all have. Girl code should harbour healthy, loyal and strong relationships. Leave the toxicity out of it.However if these rules should ever be broken, then let’s see how and why. Not all girls have the same views and opinions and some may completely disagree with the whole concept. The main argument ‘you can’t help who you fall in love with’. Whilst it will hurt to see your friend with an ex, the understanding of you can’t control who you click with must be brought into concept. Could it even be considered as possessive to say a certain someone and even regulating woman to what they and can and cannot do. Your life, your rules-They do say. So there you have it, the regulations to being a girl. Maybe if all girls followed the world would be an easier place, or what if no girls followed it? I’ll leave you to decide.
