Young Barnsley legend Tom Masters released his new single on the 10th of November called ‘You’ll Be Fine’. Since its release, the hit single has reached the top of the iTunes singer/songwriter charts and has currently reached 11th in the overall charts. In a post on his Instagram page, Tom announced the achievement and stated that it was ‘Never in my wildest dreams’.

Surely the most perfect start for the young artist? Yet, this isn’t his first achievement obtained from one of his songs, as back in November 2021, his song ‘Breakthrough’, which currently boasts over 40,000 downloads on Spotify, won him the Best Original Song award and the Dedication to Music award at the Music Awards 2021.
Just earlier this year, Tom saw himself become the first winner of Banks Got Talent, a local talent competition similar to the likes of Britain’s Got Talent - held in the West Yorkshire town of Pontefract.
However, these haven’t been Tom's only achievements as although they haven’t been achieved solo, he has achieved and experienced playing events such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022 where he and everyone involved with Barnsley Youth Choir took centre stage at Greyfriars Kirk, where they produced a spectacular performance, songs such as TOTO’s Africa were performed to an outstanding level, bringing a tear to the eyes of many who were watching.
At weekends and occasionally during weekdays, Tom Masters can be found gigging in various venues around Barnsley and the surrounding areas. With his guitar in hand, Tom always makes sure to entertain no matter the event or occasion.
With support from the town and local celebrities such as Stephanie Hirst, surely, we can hear his music playing on major radio stations in the near future. His newest single higher on the charts than major artists such as Dean Lewis and George Ezra. How long can he stay at the top?
Watch out Harry Styles, there’s a new kid on the block!
