Vaccine Plan revealed for children aged 5-11 in America

President Biden has announced that children as young as five years old could be eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. According to White House official, enough doses have been acquired for all 28 million children in the age group of 5-11 years old. The Biden administration expects that approval could arrive in a matter of weeks.

People aged twelve and over have been able to receive coronavirus vaccinations since May in America. They are well ahead of the UK in terms of vaccinating the population as Boris Johnson has only recently said that people over the age of twelve could receive their vaccinations against the virus. Biden believes that it will be convenient for parents to get their kids vaccinated as soon as it is possible. The White House is confident that the vaccines work due to millions of adolescents having already been vaccinated.

Statistics reveal that fully vaccinated individuals are 10 times less likely to be hospitalised with Covid-19 and have a much higher degree of protection than those who aren’t. As such, President Biden is keen to protect America’s children as soon as possible.
