The Fountain pub which is in Ingbirchworth is set to re-open after closing in 2017 due to severe decline.
The pub had been a victim of multiple arson attacks and antisocial behavior this and at one time plans for demolition of the site. The site was eventually bought from a US hedge fund by Barnsley’s Brook Leisure Group.

Jake Brook, 23, the assistant manager said it was necessary to transform the building which dates back to 1849. He also stated that he wanted to keep aspects of the old building whilst have a modern feel to it. "It's a pub for everyone, whether you are looking for a proper meal and wine or somewhere to have a pint of real ale and a pie and bring your dog. “It’s a rural area, there are lots of great walks around the reservoir nearby so it's very popular with walkers.
He said also that 23 new staff will be hired for a VIP evening for everyone who has helped save the pub.
