As of the years we find it difficult to talk about the experiences that had happened. We’ve hurt the painful deaths that reached up to the 10,000’s and the struggles of the NHS. Then the struggle of the online class and people suffering from mental health. This doesn’t get better as the disappointment when you are promised a reunion with the people you’ve shared 5 years with just ‘forgotten’

Just in the group of journalist students most agree that they were disappointed and felt forgotten as they had no message back after leaving. The promise of a ‘winter ball’ prom and the promise after buying they suits and dresses paying hundreds of pounds towards something that was an empty promise.

One student, Georgia Cook, explained ‘they wanted us out ASAP. You can only imagine that was not only hurtful but meaningless as they spent the 5 years waiting for this one event. I for one believe that the proms of last year should be celebrated the most as they go through covid as well as life changing exams whilst all online.

She also explains that the disappointment is to strong and has moved on ‘I’ve met more friends at college’. Tallullah, from A-levels in Barnsley college, explain that ‘my school did it pretty well because it wasn’t until the venue cancelled did, they actually cancel it. They tried there hardest to give us that day’.

Do you think there’s any point in it now?

Student have been hurt, disappointed and let down by this and this has not only been a disappointment but been the worst years to have your GCSE’s.

Prom is important for the last goodbyes.
