Man dies after car fails to stop in a police chase in Leeds

In Leeds a man has died in a crash that involved a car that had failed to stop for police just minutes earlier.
Emergency crews were called out to East End Park in Leeds at around 20.00 BST on Monday night. A marked police car had reported a vehicle that failed to stop.
One man was found injured and treated by ambulance crews but died at the crash scene, stated West Yorkshire Police.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct is now investigating the incident.
A cordon remains in place at the scene of the collision on East Park Road, near to the junction with East Park Parade and the force is asking for witnesses to contact officers with information.
A 26-year-old man, from the Rotherham area and the 23-year-old woman from Leeds remain in custody officers said.
