Woman on Multi-Storey car park is saved as police speak to her

Concerns for a young women’s safety have been raised as she is rushed to hospital after police encourage her to get down from the roof of a building in Sheffield.

The police were called at 10:20 am today (Wednesday 10th November 2021) after pedestrians spotted her and rang the police for her own safety.

The police were sent out to an area around Eyre Street. This meaning that streets and roads had to be closed in order to help the young women.

Eventually the women came down from the building after she was spoken to by the police.

A spokesman for the police said: ‘officers would like to thank people for their patience while an area around Eyre Street in Sheffield city centre was closed to the public during an ongoing incident yesterday’.

‘the roads were also closed around the scene and remained so for most of the day while officers spoke to the woman’.
