Anfield given the green light to expand by 7,000

Liverpool’s Anfield Road stand has been giving the green light to increase by 7,000 making the grounds total capacity to 61,000

On Tuesday Liverpool City Council granted the £60m expansion for the reds.

Liverpools proposal includes the development of a new family fan zone as well as hospitality lounges, a range of other facilities, permission to hold six annual major (non-footballing) events and of course the stand expansion.

This proposal allows more fans to get involved at Liverpool FC and join in at the family fan zone but also get to events during the year.
