Bamba is Back

Sol Bamba started and won Man of the Match in Boro’s 2-0 home win against Sheffield United. Bamba recently overcame cancer during last season. He was released at the end of his contract with Cardiff City last season, and he joined Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough side during the summer transfer window.

This was Bamba’s third start in a Boro shirt, that resulted in his second clean sheet for the club when starting a game. It was a dominant performance from Bamba, making several key challenges and making an exceptional goal bound block / clearance.

A convincing 2-0 win for Boro in a game that could have had had Neil Warnock’s job in a dangerous place if the result didn’t go their way. Warnock will be very pleased with his sides performance and the result, against his old side.
