Many England fans are excited to finally get a look at what Shaun Wane England side will look like especially in World Cup year. England go into the World Cup as one of the clear favourites and the All-stars match should be an extremely good test for the Lions
England
1. Gareth Widdop
We have seen from Huddersfield how deadly a team can be with 3 playmakers and having Widdop at fullback would open up to having another two playmakers. He played fullback in the last World Cup so knows the position.

2. Ryan Hall
The winger made a switch from Sydney back to the super league with hull and it has paid off massively. With the most tries in super league with 11 tries leading Super League. It’s hard to look past him with this stat.
3. Zak Hardaker
The long-time full back made a switch to the centres last year and has made the position his own and looks comfortable with the number 3 shirt.
4. Toby King
This is where the arguments start over who should start and I’ve decided on Toby King to pair up with Hardaker in the centres. He’s been outstanding for Warrington last year and the start of this year with 9 tries and 4 assists already.
5. Jermaine McGillivray
Despite having a slow start to this year, the Huddersfield Giants winger is like no other. Extremely Powerful, fast and strong and you can’t leave him out of the England squad. He has scored 4 tries in 8 games.
6. Jonny Lomax
Lomax is one of the players who have cemented their place in the team. He’s been outstanding for Saints as they won back-to-back super league titles.
7. George Williams
If you are picking the 13 for England, then Williams has to be in it. Despite having a lot of drama at the moment he is a world class player and deserves to play for England.

8. Alex Walmsley
The big prop forward has been devastating in the super league and has proven he can do on the biggest stage. With over 1000 meters and 138 carries he can put in a decent shift too.
9. Josh Hodgson
Now weather you go James Roby or Hodgson the other will go on the bench. But I’ve gone with Hodgson starting the game. Hodgson has lit up the NRL in the years he has been there with the Raiders.
10. Tom Burgess
The Souths prop forward has been one of the best English props in the last couple of years. Born in Dewsbury he has played over 175 games for the South Sydney.

11. Ben Currie
6 Tries already to his name and 5 assists. He was part of the 2017 England squad that made it to the final in the World Cup in Australia.
12. Elliot Whitehead
Like Hodgson after his move to Canberra his career has been on the upwards. 32 tries in 135 apps. He is always good when playing for England, 7 tries in 20 games.
13. John Bateman
Finally rounding up the 13 for England is the Wigan number 13. The Bradford man has been incredible so far in his career and just keeps getting better and fully deserves the number 13 shirt for England.

Whilst Shaun Wane might not put out his team for the opener of the World the game against the all-stars will give us a good idea to what the England Side will look in in The World cup.
