Christian Eriksen has posted on social media for the first time since he collapsed in the opening game for Denmark against Finland

The message read out:

“Hello everyone. Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world.”

“It means a lot to me and my family.”

“I’m fine- under the circumstances”.

“I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay”.

“Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches. Play for all of Denmark”.

“Best Christian”

Christian was in the starting line-up for Denmark when just before half time, he went to take a throw in when he stumbled and fell to the ground. Captain Kjaer was straight to his teammates rescue and managed to get him on his side and stopping him choking on his tongue.

However, the Danish star was given immediate CPR after losing a pulse and the medics were able to stabilise him and get him to hospital where tests have been run for the last few days. Christians playing career is still very uncertain but the most important thing is that he is alive and well but he ‘wants answers.’

Best wishes on a speedy recover Christian.
