Concern has begun to grow more as DeanHenderson has sat out for a second training session in a week ahead of the next Euro 2020 game against Scotland
The Manchester United goalkeeper missed the first training session due to a ‘small niggle’ before the game against Croatia but it has now become a growing concern after missing a second.
During Monday’s midday session it consisted of 14 of the 26 man-squad, 11 players who didn’t play in Sundays game against Croatia and the 3 substitutes Bellingham, Calvert- Lewin and Rashford.
Whilst the other 11 players who were involved in the starting line up against Croatia are doing recovery sessions in the gym, pool and massage centres.
Sky Sports News were told that injuries sustained to Harry Kane and John Stones ‘were not serious.’ Which is a relief to Southgate and the fans.
Southgate is unable to make any changes to the outfield players in his England squad now that they have played their first Euro 2020 game against Croatia. However, injury-enforced replacements were allowed by UEFA up to 24 hours before a nations match.
This means that Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson will remain in the squad whilst they recover from injury.
