Manchester United crash out of the Champions league.

All Manchester United needed was a draw to go through but they lost 3-2 to German side RB Leipzig.

Manchester United were favourites to go through into the group stage following wins against PSG and RB Leipzig. This meant that they only needed 4 points from four games to go through to the next round of the Champions League and two of those games were against Istanbul, a side who should have theoretically been an easy 6 points.

They managed to only get 3 points from a possible 12. Losing in a shock result against Istanbul. They then beat them at Old Trafford in a dominant display but lost in a close game to PSG 3-1 with Neymar running the show and it came down to the last game when all they needed was a draw. They got it completed wrong though and were out classed and their formation gave Leipzig so much room out-wide which they most certainly took advantage of.

They will now go into the Europa league, which they have a much greater chance of winning but is known by many as a much less prestigious tournament. Surely Ole has to be close to getting the sack. I guess we will find out in the coming weeks.
