Manchester United will hope to get their Champions League campaign back on track tonight as they face what could be a crucial game as they welcome the Italian team Atalanta to old Trafford, where a loss to the Bergamo outfit would make their hopes to progress more complicated.

Manchester United come into the game following their 4-2 loss to Leicester City at the weekend, whilst their last game in the Champions league saw them defeat Villarreal of Spain 2-1, with a 95th minute winner scored by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Atalanta, meanwhile, come into the game following a 4-1 victory over Empoli on Sunday, with their last game in the Champions League ended also saw them end with a victory, having defeated Young Boys of Switzerland 1-0.

Form:

Manchester United come into the game in spotty form, as in the premier league they have only won 2 of their last five, whilst in all competitions they have only won one of their last five, with that being their Champions League victory over Villarreal, whilst have lost to both Leicester and Aston Villa, Drawn with Everton, and been knocked out of the League Cup by West Ham. Thought, in the Premier League at least, they have also recorded victories over both West Ham and Newcastle.

Atalanta, meanwhile, come into the game in decent form, with a 3-2 defeat to AC Milan being their only defeat in their last five games in either Serie A or in all competitions. The have won over Empoli, Sassuolo and either Salernitana in the league or Young Boys in the Champions League, rounding these results out with a draw with Inter Milan.
