For the first time since 1994 premier league and championship clubs can apply for safe standing stands.
Clubs have been told they have until the 6th of October to submit their application. Approved application could be in place as soon as the 1st of January 2022.
Back in 2018 the SGSA allowed the use of rail seats and clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester city and Utd, Spurs and Wolves have all added this to their stadiums.
There are some reequipments for the safe standing stands.
Having seats with barriers/independent barriers - which must be in both home and away sections
Fans must be able to sit or stand in the licensed area
Seats cannot be locked in the 'up' or 'down' position and there must be one seat/space per person
The licensed standing areas must not impact the viewing standards of other fans, including disabled fans
There must be a code of conduct in place for fans in the licensed standing area.
