was the message from the Sheffield United twitter page, before later adding

“John Fleck leaves the field on a stretcher after receiving urgent medical care. Our thoughts are with you, Flecky!"

The result of the match at the Select Car Leasing stadium ended 1-0 to Sheffield United, with Jayden Bogle taking a David McGoldrick cross first time and finding the back of the net.

When asked about the goal in a post-match interview, Bogle stated:

“I should've scored the one before but it's positive for me but it's about the team tonight, especially for Flecky.”, which reiterates the fact that sometimes the result isn’t the biggest priority.

When interviewed post-match, Sheffield United manager Slaviša Jokanović stated:

“He is in hospital, he is conscious, and he asked for the result. Hopefully he we will be okay.”

He is safe, in good hands and we pray that everything will be okay.”
