After such a bright start to the season reality has hit Sheffield Wednesday as two losses and a frustrating 1-1 draw
Shrewsbury show that this season isn’t going to be as easy of a ride that many fans thought it would be, the Owl’s started the game like a house on fire as Saido Berahino headed home from a Barry Bannan corner after 6 minutes on his first start for the club. Wednesday looked to be cruising towards victory when Olamide Shodipo was fouled inside the box by Josh Vela, and a penalty was awarded but captain Barry Bannan dragged the penalty wide of the right post which totally flipped the game on it’s head.
As Shrewsbury began to get back into the game which culminated in Ryan Bowman scrambling the ball into the net after Bailey Peacock-Farrell failed to deal with a low cross into the box.

The Owl’s still dominated the second half and had the ball in the net when Shodipo latched on to a Bannan through ball and finished into the bottom corner. However, the goal was ruled out as offside by the linesmen and Darren Moore was understandably furious about the decision in his post-match interview, but they still failed to create any clear-cut chances other than that in the second half.
