Tottenham Hotspur have been searching for a new boss after the departure of Jose Mourinho following a poor season for Spurs. Levey has been searching for a new manager since he left the club, but the search is not coming as easy as he might like.

The first manager who was at the top of Leveys list from the beginning, was ex-manager Mouritzio Pochatino who, at the time, reportedly told his current club PSG he wanted to leave after only 6 months in charge. But, this rumour did not come to light, and nothing much more came of the link. A return from the managerial legend would have been welcomed with open arms by the fans, but it was not to be for the Argentine.

The next target Spurs went chasing was Antonio Conte, the Italian man who recently left Serie. A champions Inter Milan following a dispute with the club, regarding transfer targets and different ambitions. Conte has previously managed in the Premier league, and in fact in London. Managing local rivals Chelsea.

Hansi Flick was the next target for spurs, who, again, couldn't get past the talking stages with Levy and the Spurs board. The German who has recently left German giants Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga title with the German side.

However, in May 2021 the German FA announced that he had signed a 3 year deal starting August 1st, to be the manager of the german national team, after being assistant manager for the German national team back in 2006-2014.

The 4th man that Spurs chased was Paulo Fonseca, the ex Roma boss was reportedly a man that Spurst were after, as a replacement for Jose, who has now replaced Fonseca as the Roma boss.

The 5th and final man chased by Spurs was recently free manager Gennaro Gatusso, who left his job at Fiorentina just 22 days after he was appointed at the club. However, after a day of being rumoured with Spurs, it was revealed that he would not become the manager of the London side. A short lived rumour.
